Tech trouble at home?
We'll sort it.
Slow computer. Wi-Fi cutting out. Printer that won't print. A scary email about being "hacked." Real Perth techs who pick up, explain things in plain English, and tell you the likely cost before they start.
What do you need help with today?
Pick what's actually going wrong. We'll get you to the right kind of help — usually the same day.
Not sure which fits? Just call us and describe what's happening — we'll figure it out together.

A real person in Claremont picks up — not an offshore queue, not a chatbot, not "your call is important to us." When you ring Res-Q IT, if a tech is the right fit, they'll be on the line, in your inbox, or at your door, depending on what works for you.
We've been doing this since 2009. Most of our home customers are with us for years — usually because the first thing we fixed didn't come back, and the second thing they trusted us with was a bigger job.
- Plain English — we explain what's wrong without making you feel daft
- Up-front pricing — you'll know the likely cost before any work starts
- Patient — yes, we'll happily explain how to find your Wi-Fi password again
- Local — Claremont workshop, real Perth callout

All the home tech stuff you don't want to deal with
If it plugs in, connects to Wi-Fi, holds your photos or runs your day — there's a good chance we help with it.
Some things we can fix without leaving the workshop. Others, we'll come to you.
We'll always recommend whichever option is simpler, faster and cheaper for you — not whichever is easier for us. Most jobs that don't need hands on a cable can be sorted remotely the same day.
Remote support
A secure remote-control session — you watch what we're doing, you're in control of the keyboard if you want, and you end the session whenever. Most software, email, account, and Wi-Fi-config issues are sorted this way.
- No callout fee
- Often same-hour, same-day
- You see exactly what's happening
- Easier than driving anywhere
Onsite visit
For Wi-Fi dead zones that need an access point, smart-home installs, hardware swaps, recovery after water damage or a tricky setup — we come to you. Most of greater Perth, by appointment.
- Booked in for a time that suits
- Tech arrives prepared (we ask the right questions first)
- Clear pricing before any work starts
- Tidy up after — no boxes left in your hallway
Not sure which is right? Call (08) 6555 6500 and tell us what's happening — we'll suggest the simplest option.
Hear it from people we've actually helped
Two short stories from Perth families. Different problems, same approach — we explained things in plain English, gave them a clear price up front, and stayed until it was actually fixed.
Clear pricing — before any work starts
Nothing kills trust faster than a bill you didn't see coming. We don't do that. Here's how it works:
Need a hand?
Tell us what's up.
A few quick details and someone from the team will get back to you — usually the same day. No long forms, no chasing up. We'll work out the simplest fix together.
- ✓ Same-day response, most days
- ✓ Clear pricing before any work starts
- ✓ Real Perth techs, not a help-desk script
A real local team —
not a help-desk script
We've been a Perth fixture since 2009. The same workshop in Claremont, the same techs you talked to last time, and the same plain-English approach — whether you're here for a one-off or you've been with us for years.
Real Perth households, real fixes
The technician was very efficient and friendly. He solved all my problems and gave helpful advice. He also helped my wife with Internet access difficulties.
Frank made himself very available and made contact quickly. He has done a very thorough investigation of my problem and given me temporary solutions until the longer fix is possible. Very professional.
Highly motivated, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Has saved me from many disasters with my home computer. Always my 'first port of call' for all of my computing problems.
Things people often ask before calling
If your question isn't here, just call us. There's no minimum, no commitment — and a quick chat usually saves us all time.
How quickly can you help?
Most days, the same day. Remote support can often start within the hour. Onsite visits are usually within one to two business days, depending on where you are in greater Perth and how urgent it is. If you're in real strife — locked out, hacked, can't work — say so when you call and we'll prioritise.
How much will it cost?
Depends on what's going on — but you'll know the likely cost before any work starts. We charge by time for most things (remote and onsite have different rates), and we have fixed prices for common jobs like new computer setup. If something turns out bigger than expected, we stop and call you before adding to the bill. No "while we were at it" surprises.
Do I have to bring my computer in?
Not usually. Most software, account, email, and Wi-Fi-config issues we sort remotely. For hardware problems — won't turn on, broken screen, water damage — you can drop it to our Claremont workshop, or we can arrange an onsite visit. We'll tell you which makes most sense.
Do you support Mac and PC?
Yes — both. Plus iPhone, iPad, Android, smart home gear, printers, scanners and pretty much anything else that connects. If we genuinely don't support something, we'll tell you honestly and point you somewhere that does.
I think I've been hacked. What should I do?
Stop using the affected account, don't click anything else suspicious, and call us. We'll walk you through securing the account, checking for damage, getting back into things you've been locked out of, and tightening up so it doesn't happen again. Don't be embarrassed — it happens to careful people, not just careless ones.
My Wi-Fi is rubbish in part of the house — can you actually fix that?
Almost always, yes. The fix usually isn't "buy a faster internet plan" — it's the access point, where it's placed, what's interfering, or whether you need a mesh setup or a wired access point in the back of the house. We diagnose first, then recommend — no upselling routers you don't need.
My laptop is really slow. Do I need a new one?
Maybe — but probably not yet. A surprising number of "slow" laptops just need an SSD, more RAM, a clean-up of background apps, or simply more space on the drive. We check first, tell you honestly whether it's worth fixing, and only suggest replacing it if the maths doesn't work.
Will my data be safe with you?
Yes. We treat your data like it was ours — that means we don't go poking around, we keep things confidential, and if a job involves backup or transfer, we agree on what stays and what gets removed before we start. Most of our techs have been here years and a lot of our customers have been with us almost as long. That trust matters to us.
Where are you, and how far do you travel?
Our workshop is in Claremont. We do onsite work across most of greater Perth — central, western suburbs, northern and southern beaches, and most areas in between. If you're a bit further out, just ask — we'll be honest about whether onsite makes sense or whether remote is the better call.
I'm not very tech-savvy. Will you make me feel daft?
Never. A lot of our home customers came to us specifically because someone else made them feel rushed or talked-down-to. We explain things at your pace, in plain English, and we're patient with the same question being asked twice. If we can't explain something simply, that's on us, not you.
